England won the toss and decided to ball first.

On Day 2 of the NatWest series, Lords test Pakistan team played well and successfully took lead over England of 166 runs with 2 wickets remaining. Day 2 of the test match was started by 50/1 for Pakistan. Azhar Ali scored fifty and got out by James Anderson. Asad Shafiq and Shadab Khan scored 59 and 52 respectively and got out by Stokes. Babar Azam scored 68 and retired hurt due to the wrist injury. The X-ray reports of Babar Azam confirmed injury in his forearm and he got ruled out from test series against England. The doctor told him to do rest for 3-4 weeks.

Haris Sohail scored 39 and Wood took successfully his wicket, Faheem Ashraf got bowled by James Anderson at the score of 37. Currently, Mohammed Abbas and Mohammed Amir are on the pitch. Amir scored 19 at the end of day 2 and remained not out. The Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmad didn't perform well and got caught at the score of 9 on the ball of Ben Stokes. Hasan Ali got out on duck by Anderson.

On the Day 2 of the test match, British Prime Minister Theresa May came into Lord's cricket ground to see the match between Pakistan and England. She appreciated Pakistani cricket team performance and wished that England could get 2 or more wickets.
